The International Day of Charity was celebrated for the first time on September 5, 2013. Since then, this tradition has not faded but has only been gaining popularity. In our time, the role of selfless help to people in need is very great. The day of September fifth was chosen in memory of Mother Teresa, who died on that day. The woman became famous for her painstaking work aimed at overcoming poverty.

«We do not need guns and bombs. To defeat evil, we need love and compassion. All works of love – are works for the good of the world», – nun and missionary Mother Teresa.

For more than 45 years, Mother Teresa served the poor, the sick, and orphans, engaging in charitable activities. For her noble work, she gained recognition throughout the world, and the day of her death was declared by the UN General Assembly as the International Day of Charity and has been celebrated annually since 2012.

Charity is a kind of bridge between people belonging to different social strata, civilizations, cultures, and religions; as a sign of solidarity, it is meant to unite the world's communities through its activity for the good of those in need.

The «Give Hope» charitable foundation is engaged in the social support and protection of citizens, the social rehabilitation of people with disabilities, and providing assistance in the treatment of seriously ill children, and does so with the most sincere feelings and kind impulses.
