Artemy Chumakov was born on March 5, 2021 in the city of Svetlogorsk, the fourth child in a large and close-knit family. Right after the birth, Artemy developed health problems: he could not breathe on his own, and at that moment the family's life split into before and after. He was on a ventilator for 2 weeks, and the little boy also developed convulsive syndrome and epileptic seizures. From birth, the boy had elevated white blood cell counts, so the doctors selected suitable antibiotic medications to normalize his condition. Artemy also had problems with feeding: at first he ate only through a tube, but there were periods when even this method of feeding was not absorbed by the boy's body. At the age of 6 months, Artemy was diagnosed with cerebral palsy, and then the paperwork for establishing disability status began. The boy was granted disability status in December 2022. Artemy has cerebral palsy, SUZ-4 degree of health loss (considered severe in children, equivalent to the first adult disability group). Starting rehabilitation was difficult, because the little boy often got sick. His parents managed to go only to the children's clinic in Svetlogorsk for massage and physical therapy. The epileptic seizures stopped closer to 6 months, since the boy constantly took anticonvulsant medications. In May 2023, Artemy and his mother managed to attend rehabilitation for the first time at a medical center in Vitebsk, just when specialists from the \"Radost\" (Joy) rehabilitation center in Moscow were visiting. This helped his parents evaluate the working methods of the center's specialists and prompted them to consider undergoing rehabilitation specifically at the \"Radost\" center. It is still too early to speak of major results from the first rehabilitation, but they are there nonetheless. Artemy has become less tense, his little hands have become more relaxed, he has started trying to hold his head up on his own, and this is incredibly heartening! This is only the beginning of a long path of rehabilitation, but Artemy's parents are determined to do everything necessary so that their son can go on to live a full life like other children. However, the constant courses of rehabilitation and treatment require large financial expenses. Unfortunately, Artemy's family cannot afford this in full. At this time, the boy Artemy needs our help in raising funds for a course of rehabilitation at the \"Radost\" (Joy) Children's Rehabilitation Center in Moscow, Russia.
The total amount to be raised is 626,000 Russian rubles.
Every caring person can help the boy Artemy.
